And she would absolutely love it if you would her page. Feel free to post and comment and ask questions, but be ready for a little Rita snark. https://www.facebook.com/theauntritaby
It’s a throwback Thursday Three Pack, featuring “Spaghetti Boobs,” where the Kid and his friend Chris defend sandcastles against, well…”Seven-Ten Split,” in which the Kid learns about prank phone calls, and “Put ‘Em Up,” where The Kid teaches the dog to box.by
As always, if there’s a strip from the past you’d like to see let me know.by
Today’s Throwback Thursday Two Pack are from the early aughts – “Looking For Westy”, a little boy searches for his lost dog, and “The Rules”, where I wonder what they’re thinking up in Heaven when all these religious rules get made.
I’ve always said that I’m surprised when people tell me how dark and tragic You Damn Kid is, because I never saw it that way. Perhaps because it’s partly based in reality, that which some see as sad I see as funny, and part of life. I do, however, recognize it now more than I use to. That’s why I thought it would be fun to have a character in the strip who does think like that. Someone who thinks this is a very odd family who walk apathetically past tragedy with never a second glance. So, meet Jo Dunnigan, mother of the new kid Jax, and wife of the old kid Casey. Her reaction in panel four of “The Grocery Hole” sums up her relationship with this family very well.by
